First Visitors

Terry and Jordan came up on Sunday to help me out with the kiddos so I could stay at the hospital even more than I have been without feeling guilty about leaving my other sweet kids, it was so nice!
I think they are proud!!!

10 days

My babies are home!!! They have been home a whole 45 min and we already have tons of cute pics ;)
I'm going to be in trouble lol!
The Dr's make rounds every morning to access the babies, how they are eating, gaining, etc... 2 days ago it was still looking like we were playing the waiting game but they just took off eating and they FINALLY gained a little bit of weight so they said this morning "Well, I'm speechless! Do you think you're ready to take them home??" I could not stop smiling, my family is finally all home together!!!
I text Terry and told her we could bring them home today and when I pulled in the garage Jacob and Haylee came flying out to see them, sadly I had just come home to get the car seat bases and some clothes ;( Jacob hugged me so hard I thought he was going to break my neck he was so excited!!
When Brian and I went back they were smiling ear to ear and again came flying out to greet their brothers... totally precious!
Jayden was weighing in at 4lbs 13oz. and Justin is 5lbs 3oz. They started eating 2x as much as the dr's expected so I think we'll fit them in their skin soon ;)
They have the tiniest little bodies and so many wrinkles lol!

Of course we'll post more pics soon!!

5

What a difference a day makes!! These little men are doing so well ;) They are off all oxygen and IV's and are loving co-sleeping. They are 5 days old, tiny and adorable!!
Jayden is a little blonde cutie and Justin is dark! He has the deepest blue eyes I have EVER seen!
I love every minute I get to spend with them and Brian is the master at "skin to skin". The nurses love that he enjoys it as much as the babies, he says they just like his farmers tan lol!
The kids ADORE these little men so much it is heartwarming. They will sit and hold them for as long as we let them. They want to bring them home so bad so they can just hold them and hold them and hold them... good thing there's 2 or else we'd really be in trouble trying to share!!!

Happy Birthday!!!!

EEEKKKKKKK!!!! Our babies are here!!!

Kristi and Eric had been planning a camping trip to Navaho Lake for this weekend for the family and wanted to take our kiddos whether Brian and I went or not. They are so awesome!!
I felt so bad for the kids having had such a boring summer that it was nice to let them have some fun with the cousins :)
We met Kristi and Eric off the freeway about 4:30 on Friday afternoon with permission to beat the kids if needed ;)
Brian and I were planning on going to a movie so went home to get ready.... at 6:15 I started having contractions. I wasn't super worried or excited because I've been having some good ones for the last 2 weeks at least.
Well, at 10:30 we decided to head to the hospital just in case.... they admitted me and Saturday morning we had a family of 8!!!
Without giving details it was an amazing experience and we feel so blessed to have everything happen so smooth!!

Jayden was born first weighing in at 5lb and 1oz. Justin who was breach was a darling and turned the second Jayden was born like a good little boy and he weighed in at 5lbs 10oz!!!!

They took me back to the L&D room ( I had to deliver in the OR just in case I needed emergency help )and about 20 min later Brian came in with Jayden in his arms smiling ear to ear ;) Unfortunately, Justin was having a hard time breathing so they took him straight to the NICU. Unfortunately again, Jayden was having a hard time also and after holding him for about 5 min they took him away also.

We aren't super worried but have no idea how long they will be in NICU. Justin has this contraption around his head that hooks to a CPAP machine and that squishes his little face and he had a hard time getting in the correct face down position to deliver so his face is bruised. At about 9pm Sat night I was able to go in and see him for the first time and I cried! He was so upset because the machine had him so full of air his little tummy was blown up like a balloon and he kept spitting up. I felt helpless not being able to hold him and sooth him plus all the raging hormones I still have flowing through me I couldn't help but bawl.

Saturday afternoon I had a great surprise and our best friends from Santaquin walked through the door!!! Wow, it was amazing to see Auntie Carri and Uncle Brian and the kids!!

Sunday was a better day and he was able to get off the machine and just have "high flow" oxygen through his nostrils which helps with his tummy.
They are both still on feeding tubes and because they have low blood sugar they have a glucose IV. Justin has it in his hand and Jayden has it on the top of his head.
The staff here really pushes skin to skin care which really helps to calm the babies and so we try to hold Jayden as much as possible.

Carri was AMAZING and sat in the NICU with the boys so I could rest for a few hours without feeling guilty and it felt great!

Around 2:30 I went to see the boys and the nurse was taking the CPAP machine off Justin and was getting ready to give him a bath! He was so yucky and sticky it was making the nurse crazy lol! After she was done guess what?!?! I got to hold him for the first time!!! YYIIPPPEEE.... He is so stinking CUTE, they both are actually!!
Brian met Kristi and Eric outside to get the kids and brought Kristi up to see the babes... Jayden had been taken out of his incubator and put into a regular bed!! They are doing really well ;)

Brian was so excited about holding Justin he took his shirt right off for some "skin" time and held him for over an hour until they had to do more work on him.

I know this is long and I still left some out but I'm just so excited and exhausted at the same time I really hope this makes sense lol!!

Thanks for all the well wishes and calls and texts.. we are definately loved!!

My baby girl is 7! She's not a baby anymore but I can't help call her that, she is growing up so fast ;) She had a few friends over on Saturday to celebrate the big day with her and we had fun.
Brian was so great helping the girls paint and hot glue sequins on their bags!!
We wanted to have her party a little early to make sure she got plenty of attention before the twins were born so she would still feel all the love... oh she feels it alright! She has her daddy wrapped around her fingers and is not shy about telling the boys that lol!!

Happy Birthday Haylee!!

This is such a fun park and the kids had a great time! I feel so bad for them, this summer had not been the greatest with me not feeling up to doing much but the kiddos have been so good about it!!
