Jo Jo

Jo Jo had to get an expander today and he is sore..poor guy. He was so nervous you'd think this was his first time in a chair!
He doesn't remember the first one they had to put in before the bone graft so he didn't know what to expect.
He made sure he got a special treat today and reminded me that he couldn't have anything sticky or hard so ice cream would work great!!
I'll let him milk it for today. I even let him stay home and hang out with me ..talk about a treat, whew!!

Yes, my Jo Jo is 8!! I'm so excited and only 4 days late posting but hey..I'm a busy girl!!
We had his party on Friday after school at the park and we had lots of fun. Of course the wind kicked up like mad but it was fun playing football, soccer, and on the playground.
His dinner of choice? IHOP...yummy ;)
He was so excited to FINALLY get to go to scouts I got him a shirt and we went to Pack Meeting last night.

Staheli Farm

We have a farm up the street from us that gives tours, so Haylee's kindergarten class got to go yesterday. Brian rode the bus with her and had a group of 5 kids he was in charge of. I drove with JJ and met them there and JJ was in heaven!!
Who needs to drive to San Diego when we have our own petting zoo here??
The kids had a blast and Haylee got to start a garden in a plastic glove!!
Did I mention this was Haylee's FIRST time on a bus, wa-hoo!Posted by Picasa

Princess Haylee

Haylee had pictures today at dance, she LOVES dressing up!!
Can you see the huge bruise on her cheek? Two days earlier she was at school and the secretary called me "Haylee is here in the office and I can't get her mouth to stop bleeding or her to stop crying so can you come get her?" She was by the door and a girl ran up into her and knocked her into the door! Her teeth had a field day with her cheek, poor thing!
Of course it was swollen and bruised for pictures but who cares ;)

Funny for your Wednesday

Never Choke in a restaurant in the South

Two hillbillies walk into a bar. While having a shot of whisky, they talk about their moonshine operation.
Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table, who is eating a sandwich, begins to cough. And, after a minute or so, it becomes apparent that she is in real distress.
One of the hillbillies looks at her and says, 'Kin ya swallar?' The woman shakes her head no. Then he asks, 'Kin ya breathe?' The woman begins to turn blue and shakes her head no.
The hillbilly walks over to the woman , lifts up her dress, yanks down her drawers and quickly gives her right butt cheek a lick with his tongue. The woman is so shocked that she has a violent spasm and the obstruction flies out of her mouth. As she begins to breathe again, the Hillbilly walks slowly back to the bar.
His partner says, 'Ya know, I'd heerd of that there 'Hind Lick Maneuver' but I ain't niver seed nobody do it!'

LOL!! Have a good one!!

Whew!

This is how I feel!! It was 6 last night and after an afternoon of obviously tired behavior, this is how I found him in the hallway passed out!
We have had over a week of crazy schedules and late nights and it's taking it's toll on all of us.
I sent Jacob to school crying yesterday, he wanted to stay home because his head hurt, he was tired, etc etc...
Tonight we're in bed by 7!
Of course if I didn't have 24, House, Bones, and Fringe to watch I might get more sleep!
These are definitely shows worth watching, sleep is for the weak anyway right!!!Posted by Picasa

Boys and Dirt

Jack came over wearing his Superman shirt and cape..totally hilarious and JJ thought it was pretty cool!
The boys love water and they love dirt so put them together and what do you get?? Two entertained boys who are not fighting!! Yea!
BTW... why do babies eat dirt? They don't like it but they can't stop!

Princess Party

Haylee had a princess party to attend on Saturday. She was so excited and I'm pretty proud of my updo! I did three french braids across the top and three twists coming up the back.
She had a great time and was so sweet to share all her candy with her brothers ;)

Hershey Track Meet

Wednesday was a track meet for the 3-5th graders at Desert Hills High School. The kids had to pick three events to participate in. Jacob picked the softball throw, the 50 yard dash, and the 100 yard dash.
Brian has been slow at work so he volunteered to help and he got assigned the long jump. Jacob told him "Dad, make sure you take your 100 ft tape measure, you have to do the long jump!"
We laughed, how stinkin cute is that??
Jacob got 4th place in the two running events and I had to go get Haylee so I didn't see the throw but we had tons of fun anyway! We even let Joey ditch and come with us. Brian and the boys got to ride on the bus...huge treat for my guys, I have to drive them!
It helped my mood to be out in the nice weather!

Blue & Gold Banquet

Last Tuesday was our Banquet, and I've been stressing out about it all month. I feel the pressure of being in charge and I can't sleep and just worry.
We had a meeting and planned everything about a month ago, dinner, dessert, decorations, talent show etc...
Two days before the event I find out the building is overbooked and the Stake function has priority. Ok, so we just decided to cram everyone in one of the rooms. I got a call Monday night that we are not allowed to eat anywhere in the church except the gym, even though enrichment was the week before and they ate in the same room!
The weather has been horrible so I called to see when the gym was available.. not for two weeks! We just decided to do it outside and be done with it.
We got there and tried balloons. You can see the wind had them going!
It was so cold my mouth was numb (not cool when you're conducting!)
We started with dinner which was lasagna, salad, bread which went ok, then the kids scattered.
Called everyone back together to get started and had their attention for about 3 min then the kids scattered again, turn around to see some dad's were playing football and the boys wanted to also!
Called everyone back again.
We had three Arrow of Light ceremonies that is a huge deal for these scouts. I had a friend come in dressed in camo to shoot the arrows, after he shot what happened? Everyone scattered.
Called everyone back again.
By this time I was so mad. The parents wouldn't even pretend to care to help us out!
Going through the ceremony I actually yelled at the guys behind me on three separate times to be quiet so we could finish. A couple other mom's were telling them also but they didn't care.
Finished the ceremony and got out the cake, now the boys come running!
We didn't even do the talent show, I wanted out of there ASAP!
I'm glad that's over and I see where the kids get there manners from, stinkin parents!
