Last Day of School!!!

 

The last day of school was INSANE to say the least! They not only just had a half day, but they had an awards assembly that lasted almost an hour ;( AND the teachers are all moving classrooms and for some reason had to have them empty ASAP so spouses were there moving boxes that the kids were packing and it was chaos all over! All the stuff had to be moved into the lunchroom so it was a mess in the hallways trying to get through and teachers in a panic, kids wanting to go home..etc etc.... wow. I didn't get all the pictures I wanted of the kids and their friends but what can I do???

As for the awards assembly... Jacob got an award for citizenship for being such a great student and friend ;) Haylee was so bummed because "Mom, I'm always a good helper and being nice and I didn't get anything!" Daddy made it up to her with a hot fudge sundae so no worries lol!! She also got a certificate for outstanding math scores ;)

JoJo on the other hand got an award for his Iowa State test... He scored 80% or better in all his subjects! He even got a 97% in science!! He is such a smarty pants and we are so lucky that he does so well in school.

We are so proud of all our kiddos and I'm loving summer already! I have yet to hear I'm bored so I think we're ok right?!?! ;)

Oh, yea.... Jacob is now a 5th grader!! Joey is in 4th, and Haylee is 2nd ;)

Water Day

 

The month of May is so busy at school! They have a theme every day for the last 2 1/2 weeks and we joined Haylee for water day. That morning I filled 100 water balloons, well, about 90 because the dumb things kept popping on me ggrrr...
anyway, the kids got to spend some quality time outside and it was fun! JJ & Jack ate about 10 otter pops each lol!

Baby Shower

 

Katie, Whitney, & Annette threw me a shower last Saturday and it was so super cute! I'm mad at myself I didn't get a picture of these sweet girls together but I'll have to edit one in ;)
It was a baseball theme and totally adorable!

The invitation said MVB - Most Valuable Babies! Twins are on deck and a double header is on the schedule!! I got some cute stuff and it makes me want to fast forward time!! I seriously cannot wait for these little guys eekkkk!!! :)

Thanks to everyone who came, and all the gifts... I seriously got spoiled ;)It was so much fun!

Hawaiian Day

Haylee was so super cute last week!! She had Hawaiian day at school and got to wear her little coconuts her daddy brought her from Hawaii ;)
She was super excited until she had to put them on, then she got so embarassed!! It was so funny lol!

Mother's Hope Walk

On Saturday morning Ryan and Julie met us at a park for a fundraiser to help Allie Arnett who is a a really good friend of Jack's mom. She has a 9 year old, 7 year old, and twin boys who are 4.. when the twins were 6 months old she was diagnosed with breast cancer and was able to fight it!
Sadly though the cancer came back and it has spread throughout her entire body. We helped raise money for her treatment and it was a 2 mile walk on a beautiful trail here in St. George. I thought, oh 2 miles is easy!! uughh... the last hill on the way back about killed me lol! Brian was laughing because I was walking so fast and I told him I had to or else I'd fall over haha!
It was a good experience for all of us and the boys even ran the last mile so it was great exercise ;)

Mother's Day Weekend

Talk about the BEST surprise EVER!!!!! Friday afternoon Brian and I were in the front yard (him working, me watching lol) when two cars came up my street. I'm so blind anyway so as I was staring trying to see who would drive on our empty street staring at me I realized who it was... MEL & RYAN!!!
I screamed so loud I think I scared Brian hahaha!! Then I cried as Mel came up to give me a big hug then Ryan and Julie got out of the car and then Jennifer and all the kiddos... holy cow I felt like I was dreaming!
They just decided to come visit and spoil us rotten for the weekend!!
Absolutely amazing is all I can say ;)
I'm waiting for them to send me the pics they took so I'll post these for now..
Kayla and Haylee were inseparable!! Haylee was so happy she did not stop smiling the entire time ;)
The boys had fun with Jacob Nevitt AKA "Charlie" and he was so sweet letting the girls hug him and playing with them and JJ... I told my boys to get a good look how nice he is to Haylee and JJ and take notes lol! Although he did introduce JJ to the wedgie which was not nice but it was so stinkin cute when JJ came in trying to cry and not laugh "mommy, Charlie gave me a weegie boo hoo boo hoo"( insert smile here )
Ha Ha, he called it weegie not wedgie, totally hilarious!!
I'm still on cloud 9! I got so much baby stuff I think we're set for awhile, thanks to Jennifer and Julie ;)

Tooth Fairy

My baby girl lost not only one, but two teeth last week!! Her front right tooth was so loose and we talked her into twisting it and "after I twisted it 10 times, it just came out!"
Well, apparently two days later her other one was ready to come out also and since the first time was such a breeze she just twisted it no problemo!
She is such a big girl and now she talks funny but has the cutest smile!!
