Nascar 2011

Brian had the opportunity to take Jacob and Joey to the race this year in Vegas. Not only to the race but to the racetrack for 4 days!! The Thompsons borrowed a travel trailer and Uncle Brian with Jason, Uncle Kenny and another guy all got to hang out with them in the middle of the track... talk about FUN!
Brian has always liked Kurt Busch from the beginning but since his little brother came on the scene we like him as well. They are both from Vegas and are both really good drivers.
Highlight of the weekend was the boys got to meet Kurt and get all their hats and a car autographed!! yippeeee ;)
So while the boys were there the girls got to have fun in St. George. Auntie Carri, Emilee, Haylee and I along with JJ and the twins of course partied it up lol!!

Sleeping

These two are so funny when it comes to sleeping! They always have to touch each other ;)
I put Jayden on the one end and Justin on the other and they ALWAYS manage to get at least their legs tangled, I love it!!
Justin has started climbing on top of Jayden making him cry so I seperated them and they both cried and cried so I caved and put them together, they fell alseep hahaha.
These sweet boys are finally getting over the need to cry all the time and so now I can truly say they are FUN!!

JJ is 5!!

I can't believe how big my "baby" is and also that it is May and I am just now getting to blog about his birthday?!?! Wow, I'm horrible!!
We had 2 family parties to make up for the lack of a friend party ;) Brian got him a cookie monster cake that was so adorable. He graduates preschool on Friday so I'll have more cute pics to post about!

5th Grade Dance

This was the CUTEST thing I have seen in a very long time!! Instead of passing out Valentine's the 5th graders had an etiquette lunch and a dance afterwards... the girls were all dressed up, some in 3 inch heels!!!
They had a parent come for a few weeks beforehand and teach the kids some dances and they all had a dance card with the song and who their partner was.
I walked in and Jacob about died! He turned bright red and wouldn't even look at me lol! He had this girl swinging around and I just couldn't believe it!!
Oh my gosh, it won't be long before he wants to be out there hugging a girl at the dance ;) ***SIGH***

Give Me Liberty

Jacob is so amazing! He is in 5th grade and they have to do 4 projects throughout the year OR they can complete the Give Me Liberty project.

It is NOT easy.. It contains 12 different things he has to memorize and recite to a 5th grade teacher to pass off.
1. The Pledge of Allegiance - written in cursive
2. The Pledge of Allegiance - sign language
3. The Preamble to the Constitution
4. The Star Spangled Banner - sung
5. The names of our Presidents in the order they served - recited
6. The 50 states - named & located
6b. The 50 capitals - named & located
7. U.S.A. and continents located on the world map
8. The Gettysburg Address - recited
9. A line from the Declaration of Independence - recited
10. The Symbols of the United States of America - recited
11. The Symbols of the State of Utah - recited
12. The Symbols of 'Old Glory' - recited

Now some of these were not hard for him at all, BUT.... he got a package from Uncle Mike filled with Miami Dolphins stuff and as you know that is his favorite team ever!! Well, he had the Presidents & Gettysburg Address left in his book so I told him he's not allowed to use his stuff until he passes those two off and finishes his book.... well 1 week later he had his box lol!!
We are so super proud of him and how he buckled down and got this book done. As a reward besides his box, it was his special day so he picked dinner & dessert the night! Talk about grinning from ear to ear ;)

Oh yea, he got to wear his shirt and go to all the 5th grade classes and they screamed for him ;)

Preschool

JJ has been doing so well with his preschool! I'm so glad I chose to enroll him. I'm not one to pay for preschool when I can do it myself, especially with Jack here 3 days a week as well BUT, this boy needs it!
He is so different than all the other kiddos, smart but also a stinker. He knows how to push Jacob & Joey's buttons that's for sure!!
Here are some of his works of art... he always tells me "momma, don't throw my freeschool stuff in the trash k?"
I then have to tell him to stop taking stuff out of the garbage and that's why I take pictures of it, so we can keep it forever ;)
