5th Grade Dance

This was the CUTEST thing I have seen in a very long time!! Instead of passing out Valentine's the 5th graders had an etiquette lunch and a dance afterwards... the girls were all dressed up, some in 3 inch heels!!!
They had a parent come for a few weeks beforehand and teach the kids some dances and they all had a dance card with the song and who their partner was.
I walked in and Jacob about died! He turned bright red and wouldn't even look at me lol! He had this girl swinging around and I just couldn't believe it!!
Oh my gosh, it won't be long before he wants to be out there hugging a girl at the dance ;) ***SIGH***

Give Me Liberty

Jacob is so amazing! He is in 5th grade and they have to do 4 projects throughout the year OR they can complete the Give Me Liberty project.

It is NOT easy.. It contains 12 different things he has to memorize and recite to a 5th grade teacher to pass off.
1. The Pledge of Allegiance - written in cursive
2. The Pledge of Allegiance - sign language
3. The Preamble to the Constitution
4. The Star Spangled Banner - sung
5. The names of our Presidents in the order they served - recited
6. The 50 states - named & located
6b. The 50 capitals - named & located
7. U.S.A. and continents located on the world map
8. The Gettysburg Address - recited
9. A line from the Declaration of Independence - recited
10. The Symbols of the United States of America - recited
11. The Symbols of the State of Utah - recited
12. The Symbols of 'Old Glory' - recited

Now some of these were not hard for him at all, BUT.... he got a package from Uncle Mike filled with Miami Dolphins stuff and as you know that is his favorite team ever!! Well, he had the Presidents & Gettysburg Address left in his book so I told him he's not allowed to use his stuff until he passes those two off and finishes his book.... well 1 week later he had his box lol!!
We are so super proud of him and how he buckled down and got this book done. As a reward besides his box, it was his special day so he picked dinner & dessert the night! Talk about grinning from ear to ear ;)

Oh yea, he got to wear his shirt and go to all the 5th grade classes and they screamed for him ;)

Preschool

JJ has been doing so well with his preschool! I'm so glad I chose to enroll him. I'm not one to pay for preschool when I can do it myself, especially with Jack here 3 days a week as well BUT, this boy needs it!
He is so different than all the other kiddos, smart but also a stinker. He knows how to push Jacob & Joey's buttons that's for sure!!
Here are some of his works of art... he always tells me "momma, don't throw my freeschool stuff in the trash k?"
I then have to tell him to stop taking stuff out of the garbage and that's why I take pictures of it, so we can keep it forever ;)

6 months 14 days

My little men are so big!! I took them for their 6 month checkup on Monday and the results are in....
Mr. Justin is 18lbs 8oz. 26.77" tall,
Mr. Jayden is 18lbs 26.18 " tall

So the Dr. comes in and the babies are already undressed so he grabs Justin out of his carseat and tells him
"You're fat! Oh I shouldn't say that, you're chubby. Oh forget it I'm saying it... you're fat! hahaha!! "
It was hilarious but when I asked him seriously if they were "obese" he said with how tall they are they are right on track! Just deceivingly fat!!
So they do the check up and Justin's eyes are a little red with some goop... Yes pink eye ggrrrr..
They each got 4 shots and my kids are usually so good with shots, never sore or feverish or grumpy etc... except for these two. They get all these symptoms and more!!!
They both got fevers within hours, Justin's got to 103 then 103.7 then 104.1 so during the night he was getting tons of baths luckily he broke them pretty quick. That happened for 2 nights then it was Jayden's turn to hit 103 for 2 nights except I couldn't break his and it got me a little worried ;(
Needless to say it has been a very long week and they are on antibiotics so HOPEFULLY we can all get better soon.
Did I forget to mention we've been sick since Christmas??? I'm sooooo ready to have warm weather so I can open doors and let some fresh air in!!

I love these little guys so much!!!

Sledding

We had so much fun playing in the snow! We had to drive about 20 min north but it was worth it, the smiles on everyones faces were priceless ;)
The babies have had colds so they stayed in the truck but I got good shots of the rest of the gang!!
